What surprises me most is how much I love reading outside with it. I never imagined how much extra reading I'd get done while waiting for the dog to do his thing, or while sitting in the park waiting for the kids to get bored, tired or hungry. I had tried to take a netbook with me to the park, but it was awful trying to get enough shade to be able to see the screen, and I didn't get any work done at all. The eInk is actually clearer in sunlight than indoors, and I've gotten tons of work-related reading done during what would otherwise be unproductive times.
