I hope they find a buyer that will be able to revive the publication. I’ve enjoyed reading it all these years, and it would be sad to no longer see it on the magazine racks.
But… perhaps in this digital age, it’s just a sign of what’s been happening and things to come.
I don’t know Bob. Remember the Clinton and Lewinsky scandal? Newsweek decided not to run the story. I wonder why? I know every publication has their biases, but that was a bit much for me.
Yes, it’s been around a long time and I guess it’s sad to see another publication hit hard times as so many seem to have in the past five years, but I don’t care too much about Newsweek. But that’s just me
Thanks for the reply, Jim. Yes, I’m well aware that Newsweek has been often accused of having a “liberal” bias. I think that is what you are referring to?
Truth be told, they are not really “liberal” in the original meaning of the word. But I think I understand what you mean.
Nevertheless, I’ve still enjoyed reading it over the years. It’s good to read publications that have a bias that is not the same as your own though
Bob, yes that is what I was referring to. I do think Newsweek has had a liberal bias that I just don’t agree with and that they haven’t always provided a balanced story.
Although I see a benefit in reading publications that don’t share my own bias, I still prefer to spend my time reading content that presents a more neutral approach to the subject.
